Guest Speaker Reverend Jack Roberto, Canthiest

Rev. Jack got his start in the THC Ministries and has since developed and maintained the first Canthiest church in the Las Vegas valley. Jack is also a member of the Nevada NORML Board of Directors and a driving influence in marijuana activism in Nevada.

Guest Speaker Nancy Lord, M.D., Esq.

Nancy Lord is a criminal defense attorney, with a medical degree, who is based in Las Vegas, NV. She received her undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Maryland and her law degree from Georgetown University. Ms. Lord specializes in cases involving medical marijuana; FDA issues, both civil and criminal; gun rights; free speech; and drug crimes. Some of her most celebrated victories include Ron Kiczenski, charged with cultivation of marijuana for a hemp planting protest; and Lazare Industries, an ozone clinic charged with FDA and mail fraud violations.

Ms. Lord has been the candidate of the Libertarian Party for mayor of Washington, DC (1990) and for US Vice President (1992). She has written and spoken extensively on issues such as the war on drugs and FDA law.

Guest Speaker Mike, State Medical Program Expert

Mike wishes to remain for the most part anonymous for obvious reasons. But we want to say thank you to him anyways for the great job he does helping patients in Nevada and the wonderful speech he gave!

 

Guest Speaker Reverend David Cook, Canthiest

Rev. Dave is most famous for his media grabbing case in which he fought a possession charge (which is a misdemeanor in Nevada) on the grounds of religious freedom. Rev. Dave is still in court over this and hopes to take his case to the Supreme Court of the United States. Dave is also a member of the Nevada NORML Board of Directors.

Mr. Mustache is a local Vegas band who has been friends with Nevada NORML since it' beginnings. You can hear them on MySpace.

I also want to thank our special guests from City Life and local comedian Buffet Jackson for coming out. As well as all the other attendees and marchers. You are who made this event a success! The ones who's names will never be remembered.. but your spirit will never be forgotten!
